Church modes
A mode is a scale built by starting on a different note of a major scale. Play the white keys from C to C and you get Ionian (the major scale itself); start on D and you get Dorian; start on E and you get Phrygian; and so on through F (Lydian), G (Mixolydian), A (Aeolian = natural minor), and B (Locrian). Each mode keeps the same set of notes but a different tonal centre, giving each its distinctive sound — bright, jazzy, dark, suspended, etc.
Custom keys
Tick every key signature the round should draw from. The current Key types filter (Major / Minor) still applies on top of your selection.
